About this role
About Us: Valley Children’s Healthcare is a recognized leader in pediatric healthcare for over 70 years and boasts a CT department that offers state of the art equipment having attracted outstanding personnel committed to caring for children while placing safety and quality in the center of service. Primary job responsibilities involve performing exams in Computed Tomography to department standard in a timely and effective manner as a part of team servicing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patient populations.
Job Summary: The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The care provided by the MIS is supervised by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Working within a team environment and can manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills. Qualifications:
Education • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) • Program Graduate of a patient care program (CNA, MA, or EMT) (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) • MA - Medical Assistant (preferred)
• Other - Other CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
• Other - Other EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (preferred)
Work Experience • Minimum six (6) months Pediatric experience (preferred)
Skills and Abilities • Work within a team environment and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills. • Bilingual Skills Preferred.
