We're working to do that by making access to space cheaper and more reliable through reusable launch vehicles. Join our team of problem solvers as we add our next generation of launch vehicles and in-space systems to our fleet.
The Role
We are seeking a Mechanical D esign Engineer to join our team . The core challenge is achieving rotational performance at a scale an d spee d that has not been d emonstrate d befor e.
This is a han d s-on d etaile d d esign role built for someone who thrives in rapi d d evelopment cycles. You will d esign, buil d , test, learn, an d re d esign — repeat. Success is measure d by har d ware on the test stan d an d d ata in han d , not by d ocuments alone.

• Own d etaile d mechanical d esign of a high-spee d rotor assembly inclu d ing structural members, retention features, balance provisions, an d thermal management.
• D evelop an d iterate thermal management solutions
• Un d erstan d thermal an d structural loa d s on the rotor; translate those into d esign requirements an d geometry constraints
• Author d rawings, G D &T, assembly proce d ures, an d acceptance criteria with sufficient rigor to buil d an d test har d ware quickly
• D efine an d execute component- an d system-level test plans; be present for test operations, tear d owns, an d inspection
• D rive rapi d d esign-buil d -test cycles — i d entify failure mo d es early, propose tra d es, an d execute changes fast
• Coor d inate with manufacturing an d supply chain to pro d uce har d ware on aggressive sche d ules an d rates without sacrificing structural or thermal integrity
