JOB SUMMARY ONEOK is seeking a Measurement Compliance Specialist IV to support compliance, data assurance, and data quality standards within the Natural Gas Processing Measurement group. This role will help lead standardized measurement compliance processes, drive risk analysis and mitigation efforts, support both external and internal audits and assessments, and develop practical solutions that strengthen regulatory compliance, contractual alignment, company standards, and industry best practices.
The Measurement Compliance Specialist IV will collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, Measurement, Accounting, producers, and other key business partners to ensure accurate, reliable measurement data and resolve discrepancies that impact stakeholders across the business. This position requires strong project management capabilities, sound judgment, relationship-building skills, and the ability to listen well, understand customer needs, and translate complex compliance requirements into actionable plans. Knowledge of BLM regulations is strongly preferred, and oil and gas measurement experience—particularly with FLOWCAL and TESTit is highly desired.
This role is based at ONEOK Plaza in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for either eight-hour days or a 4-9-4 schedule, with Friday designated as a remote workday. Travel is expected to be 10% or less and will include day trips or occasional travel to field assets and industry conferences. ONEOK may consider candidates at the Measurement Compliance Specialist III level based on experience. Job Profile Summary
Leads the execution of compliance and data assurance strategies across the organization. Directs risk quantification, implements solutions, manages internal audits, and mentors team members. Contributes to strategic decision-making and drives the development of best practices and technological innovations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Lead risk analysis efforts across multiple projects and processes, prioritizing risks and advising on mitigation strategies. • Ensure measurement processes, systems, and data comply fully with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, company standards, and industry best practices. • Develop and implement comprehensive solutions to address identified risks, ensuring long-term compliance and process improvement. • Manage and lead internal audits and assessments, providing actionable, data-driven recommendations to address findings. • Mentor team members (Levels I–III) in risk analysis, compliance interpretation, and solution implementation to foster growth and continuous improvement. • Assist in developing and refining compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to enhance organizational resilience. • Act as a liaison between internal teams (e.g., Commercial, Operations, Measurement, and Accounting), providing insights and recommendations regarding compliance risks and data integrity. • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to compliance and data assurance, ensuring timely corrective actions. • Identify and drive opportunities for technological advancements and process automation to streamline compliance activities. • Represent the organization by contributing to compliance presentations for management and industry conferences.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
Work Experience
• 6 - 10 years related work experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of: Oil and gas measurement regulatory requirements and industry standards (AGA, API). • Knowledge of: Advanced compliance frameworks, industry best practices, and regulatory obligations. • Knowledge of: Risk management, project management, and compliance strategy principles. • Skills in: Leading and managing complex compliance projects and initiatives. • Skills in: Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Skills in: Analyzing and interpreting data to drive decisions and identify process improvements. • Skills in: Innovating and automating processes to enhance compliance and data assurance activities. • Ability to: Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement. • Ability to: Translate strategic compliance objectives into actionable plans and deliver measurable results. • Ability to: Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including presenting at industry conferences. • Ability to: Work independently and provide leadership on complex projects with minimal supervision.
Licenses and Certifications
• Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC preferred • Certified Project Manager (IAPM) preferred
