Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, coordinate, and oversee daily material handling, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. • Lead, schedule, and assign work to Material Handlers and warehouse personnel to meet operational goals and production demands. • Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and inventory control requirements. • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory transactions through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and manual documentation as required. • Conduct and oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies. • Coordinate loading and unloading of shipments while verifying quantities, inspecting materials for damage, and addressing discrepancies. • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment. • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments to support operational objectives and material availability. • Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to promote productivity, accountability, and professional development. • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment. • Investigate inventory variances, shipping errors, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, material flow, and inventory control. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, and productivity metrics. • Organize warehouse locations and ensure a clean, safe, secure, and orderly work environment. • Assist with staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and operational support during peak periods, special projects, and emergency situations. • Prepare reports and maintain records related to inventory, warehouse operations, safety incidents, and employee performance.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. • Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, logistics, or a related environment. • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics setting. • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, shipping and receiving processes, and warehouse operations. • Experience using inventory management, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire. • Advanced experience with ERP systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or warehouse optimization practices. • Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, warehousing, or other regulated environments. • Demonstrated experience leading teams, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing employee development initiatives. • Experience managing warehouse metrics, inventory audits, and compliance programs.
