Must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
Purpose The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining semiconductor processing equipment; executing standard and experimental process flows; and supporting researchers and engineers in developing, characterizing, and improving novel semiconductor processes and devices.
Responsibilities Technician I: Executes standard wafer processing with minimal supervision. Technician II : Independently operates tools, supports troubleshooting, and assists engineering efforts Technician III : Advanced technical contributor supporting complex processes and toolsets. Senior Technician: Senior-level technical authority providing leadership in FAB operations and R&D execution.
Wafer Processing & Equipment Operation • Operate semiconductor fabrication equipment including photolithography, dry and wet etch, deposition systems (CVD, PVD, ALD), bonding tools, diffusion/implant tools, CMP, electroplating, metrology, and wet clean tools. • Execute process recipes, travelers, and experimental process flows accurately and consistently. • Handle 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, and/or 300mm wafers in compliance with cleanroom and EHS standards.
Research & Development Support • Support experimental runs, prototype builds, and funded research programs. • Collaborate with process engineers and researchers on process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. • Collect process and metrology data and provide structured feedback to engineering teams.
Metrology & Documentation • Perform in-line and end-of-line metrology (film thickness, CD, profilometry, defect inspection). • Accurately document results, deviations, and observations in lab notebooks, MES systems, and databases. • Support data integrity, traceability, and reporting requirements.
Safety, Compliance & Cleanroom Practices • Follow all cleanroom protocols, chemical handling procedures, and EHS requirements. • Support chemical inventory management, waste handling, and safety audits. • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Operational Support • Assist with material tracking, consumables management, and inventory control. • Support tool scheduling, availability, and daily FAB operations. • Assist with onboarding and training of new users as appropriate to level.
Required Qualifications Manufacturing Operations Technician I • High school diploma or equivalent • Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook) • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a cleanroom environment
Manufacturing Operations Technician II • 3+ years hands-on semiconductor FAB experience • Experience with at least one 200mm or 300mm tool functional area • Ability to work effectively in a flexible development environment
Manufacturing Operations Technician III • 5+ years hands-on semiconductor FAB experience • Experience with at least two major semiconductor tool functional areas • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose
