Your Impact
As a Manufacturing Lead, you will be the primary operational leader for assigned manufacturing areas, driving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and People Development (SQDIP). You will lead and develop Area Leads and Operators, improve manufacturing processes, and partner across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Production Control, and EHS to deliver reliable, high-quality products. This role offers the opportunity to build leadership capability, influence operational strategy, and create sustainable improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Location: Onsite at our [City, State] facility Reports to: [Hiring Manager Title] Direct Reports: Area Leads and production personnel within assigned manufacturing departments
• Leaddailymanufacturingexecutionacrossassignedareas,ensuringperformanceagainstSafety,Quality,Delivery,Inventory,Productivity,andPeopleDevelopment(SQDIP)goals.
• Promoteandsustainasafety-firstculturebymonitoringsafetyperformance,enforcingPPEand7Sstandards,leadingsafetyaudits,andpartneringwithEHStoresolvesystemicconcernsandimplementpreventiveactions.
• Serveasthedepartmentalpointofcontactforqualityescalations,investigations,andauditreadiness;ensureadherencetomanufacturingprocedures,workinstructions,SOPs,andqualitystandards.
• Leaddefect-reductioneffortsthroughroot-causeanalysis,correctiveactions,performancemonitoring,andsustainableprocess-improvementplans.
• Driveexecutionofdailyproductionplanstomeetcustomerdemand,throughput,OEE,labor-efficiency,anddeliverytargets.
• SupportTier1andTier2managementsystems,maintainingaccuratereporting,clearescalationpaths,andtimelyresolutionofoperationalissues.
• PartnerwithPlanning,SupplyChain,andProductionControltoalignstaffing,materialavailability,WIP,cyclecounts,inventoryaccuracy,scrapreduction,andproductionpriorities.
• LeadandcoachAreaLeadsandOperatorsthroughregularone-on-ones,on-floormentoring,skillassessments,performancediscussions,anddevelopmentplanning.
• Managelaborallocationandstaffingstrategiesacrossshiftstoensureworkforcereadiness,trainingcompletion,certificationprogression,andachievementofoperationalobjectives.
• LeadLeanManufacturing,Kaizen,andcontinuous-improvementinitiativesthatstrengthensafety,quality,materialflow,productivity,andcostperformance;standardizeandsustainbestpracticesacrossthedepartment.
• Fosteracultureofaccountability,teamwork,engagement,continuouslearning,andeffectivecommunicationacrossshifts,departments,andleadershipteams.
• Supporthiring,onboarding,successionplanning,andthedevelopmentoffuturesubject-matterexperts,AreaLeads,andManufacturingLeads.
What You Bring
• HighschooldiplomaorGEDrequired;anassociatedegree,technicalcertification,orequivalentrelevantexperienceispreferred.
• 5+yearsofmanufacturingexperience,withatleast2yearsinalead,trainer,coordinator,orsupervisorycapacity.
• Demonstratedexperienceleadingteamsinamanufacturingorproductionenvironment,includinglaborplanning,performancecoaching,training,andemployeedevelopment.
• ExperiencewithLeanManufacturing,Kaizen,7S,root-causeanalysis,processoptimization,andcontinuous-improvementmethodologies.
• Strongunderstandingofproductionoperations,qualitysystems,inventoryandmaterialmanagement,manufacturingequipment,andprocesscontrols.
• Abilitytouseproductionmetricsandreportingsystemstoevaluateperformance,identifytrends,resolveissues,andmakedata-drivendecisions.
• Advancedworkstationcertificationsanddemonstratedprocessexpertise,ortheabilitytoobtainandmaintainrequiredcertifications.
• Strongwrittenandverbalcommunication,cross-functionalcollaboration,escalationmanagement,conflict-resolution,andchange-managementskills.
• Abilitytostandandwalkforextendedperiodsduringa12-hourshiftandlift,carry,push,orpullmaterialsupto50pounds,withorwithoutreasonableaccommodation.
• AbilitytoworksafelyinamanufacturingenvironmentrequiringPPEandadherencetocontrolled-environmentprocedures.
