Our Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Operating Unit provides innovative technologies that support clinicians in treating sinus, otology, head and neck, skull base, airway, and related conditions. In this dynamic role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the responsibility to represent the Operations team and effectively execute new or ongoing project tasks related to your role. You will leverage a cross-functional team to execute and drive the timely completion of tasks across project types, including gross margin initiatives, regulatory requirements, process improvements, and more. We are looking for a team member who is self-driven, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, confident, and an effective communicator.
This is a full-time opportunity. This position will be based onsite in Jacksonville, Florida.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. • Designs the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout. • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. • Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Baccalaureate degree
Nice-To-Have • Medical Device Experiences • Strong communication and presentation skills • Knowledge of SAP • Experience with drafting digital tools for modeling • Some knowledge of process and tooling development
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
