Job Description

Role Summary: We are looking for a Senior Designer to join Visa Creative Studio as we build a best-in-class global creative team for Visa and the clients we serve.

The ideal candidate bridges brand storytelling with performance-focused design—creating work that drives near-term conversion while building long-term brand equity.   You’re comfortable optimizing CRM and lifecycle programs for measurable results while elevating our clients’ visual expression and design language. You deliver work that is strategically sharp, emotionally resonant, and unmistakably on brand.   You’ll report to the Global Head of Design and help shape how our studio blends performance rigor with brand craft.

Success in this role goes beyond execution. You’ll bring strong craft, attention to detail, and collaborative problem-solving to deliver high-quality, scalable lifecycle design. You’ll also help evolve templates, design systems, and workflows that improve efficiency and protect brand consistency.

You have experience in advertising agencies, design studios, or in-house creative teams, and a portfolio that demonstrates fresh, effective thinking in lifecycle and performance design.

You’re strategic in your approach, able to articulate your rationale, and translate insights into clear, compelling creative.   Craft matters. You bring strong design fundamentals (typography, layout, and motion), stay current on emerging trends, and ensure the brands you touch feel modern, innovative, and forward-looking.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities • Deliver creative that balances brand storytelling and growth performance across CRM, lifecycle, paid media, and campaigns.

• Create conversion-focused assets while maintaining alignment with Visa brand standards and design systems.

• Collaborate with program managers, strategists, and copywriters to turn insights into impactful creative.

• Experiment with new formats, storytelling techniques, and AI-enabled workflows to improve speed, scalability, and craft.

• Stay ahead of industry trends in brand and growth design to evolve our creative impact.

Build relationships • Bring a collaborative spirit—work as one team, push for excellence, and support others to do their best work.

• Partner cross-functionally with Client Marketing Services, Creative, Media, and Marketing Delivery to align stakeholders and deliver work that meets shared goals.

Build upon a culture that fosters remarkable creativity • Contribute to a culture of remarkable creativity—bring inspiration, share ideas, and build on others’ thinking.

• Hold a high bar for craft and quality in everything you produce.

• Dream big and stay focused on delivering work we’re proud of.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications • Strong portfolio demonstrating advertising and design fundamentals, with examples across lifecycle/direct response channels (email, paid social, web, and related placements).

• 6+ years of experience in digital, brand, or lifecycle marketing design (agency, studio, or in-house).

• BFA/BA or equivalent relevant experience.

• Working knowledge of email, direct mail, social, and digital marketing best practices.

• Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional, end-to-end work with high attention to detail.

• Able to work fast on tight timelines without compromising quality; comfortable working independently when timelines are less constrained.

• Experience designing across mediums (email, web, paid media, print, and presentations) and creating cohesive systems across touchpoints.

• Confident presenting and defending design decisions to senior stakeholders; strong partnership and influence skills.

• Champion of brand standards and guidelines.

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; PowerPoint proficiency required.

• AI fluency—experience integrating AI-powered tools into design workflows to improve efficiency while maintaining quality.

• Experience with email design tools and HTML email template creation; HTML proficiency preferred.

• Experience with large or regulated brands is a plus, not required.
