Managers build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders while delivering impactful, forward-looking solutions. They develop deep   expertise   in healthcare environments and cyber risk domains while serving as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market.

• Helping clients   identify , assess, and mitigate   tec hnology and   cyber risks to protect patient data,   maintain   compliance, and support secure operations  

• Business   and   t e chnology   r esilience: strengthening detection, response, and recovery , and do wntime op eration   capabilities against evolving threats  

• Innovation:   leveraging   emerging technologies, automation, and analytics to enhance security and risk management  

• Staying current: developing   expertise   in   evo lving   h ealthcare   ind ustry   changes in cluding cyber   threats,   e mer ging   technologies, and healthcare regulations  

Managers in   Te chnolog y and   Cybersecurity work   with clients to assess risk, provide advisory services, and deliver solutions across a variety of   tec hnology and   cyber-focused areas, including:  

• Cybersecurity & Cyber Risk Management  

• Major Technology Projects   and E nterpri se A pplications      

• Identity & Access Management (IAM)  

• Cloud   Man agement   of   Architec ture &   Security (AWS, Azure, GCP)  

• Data Protection & Privacy (HIPAA, PHI security)  

• Security Operations & Threat Detection  

• Third-Party & Vendor Risk Management  

• Bu siness   Resilience , D isaster R ecovery   & Incident Response  

• Emerging Technology Risk (AI, automation, and digital platforms)

Do Your Talents Include the Following?   

• A solid foundation of healthcare industry knowledge and a deep understanding of key internal controls related to   IT ,   cybe rsecu rity ,   and other   healthc are   busine ss funct ions like   revenue cycle, compliance, privacy, operational, clinical, and/or financial processes.   

• A strong understanding of technology risk management,   cybersecurity   principles,    and   control frameworks within healthcare environments  

• Experience assessing   tech nology r isks   and enhancing controls across   sec urity,   identity, infrastructure, applications, and data environments  

• Knowledge of healthcare-specific cybersecurity risks, including ransomware, medical device security, EHR vulnerabilities, and third-party ecosystem risk  

• Specific   focus on areas of technology included: cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, analytics, electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.), enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.   

• Understanding   commonly used information technology frameworks / regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HITRUST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, etc.   

• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and automation, with a focus on governance, security, and risk implications .  

• Ability to translate   tec hnology   risks and technical topics into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders  

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data,   identify   trends, and provide risk-based recommendations  

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations and documentation  

• Experience working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to change
