About this role
Maintenance Technician II Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Position Summary The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable operations within the distribution center. This role performs preventive maintenance, repairs electrical and mechanical systems, and supports overall facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility and warehouse equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, electrical controls, mechanical equipment, motors, gearboxes, and drives. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems. • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions. • Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate records in the CMMS system. • Assist with equipment installations, facility projects, and maintenance planning. • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks while following all safety procedures. • Support inventory management of maintenance tools and spare parts. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. • Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all safety standards. • Work overtime or on-call as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. • 3-5 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience. • Experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems. • Training or experience in electrical controls and AC/DC electrical systems. • Welding and fabrication experience, including knowledge of welding safety practices. • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
Preferred Technical Skills • Knowledge of PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). • Experience working with electrical systems from 24VDC to 480V three-phase. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems and conveyor software. • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fire suppression systems, and automated equipment. • Familiarity with CMMS software. • Basic thermal imaging knowledge.

Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, crouch, and crawl for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. • Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
Work Environment • Distribution center environment with exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, machinery, and outdoor conditions. • Occasional overtime and on-call availability required.

Essential Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility and warehouse equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, electrical controls, motors, gearboxes, drives, and mechanical equipment. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems. • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions. • Complete work orders and maintain accurate records in the CMMS system. • Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and maintenance projects. • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks while following safety procedures. • Maintain maintenance tools and support spare parts inventory management. • Coordinate waste removal services and facility support activities as needed. • Support training and knowledge sharing within the maintenance team. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all company safety standards. • Work overtime or be on-call as business needs require. • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. • 3-5 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience. • Experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems. • Training or experience with electrical controls and AC/DC electrical systems. • Welding and fabrication experience, including safe operation of welding equipment. • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems. Preferred Technical Skills • Working knowledge of electrical systems from 24VDC to 480V three-phase. • Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems. • Basic PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge. • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). • Ability to diagnose and replace motors, drives, and gearboxes. • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, fire suppression, and conveyor systems. • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). • Knowledge of thermal imaging for electrical equipment. • Ability to learn robotic and automated systems.
