EBA&D seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Manual Machinist , reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The position is for 1st or 2nd shift and is located in Moorpark, CA.

The position is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating Manual or CNC mills and lathes per work orders, routers, & blueprints.

Responsibilities: • Ability to evaluate blueprints and develop a machining strategy. • Identify tooling to machine hardware. • Create work holders or fixtures used to machine hardware. • Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment. • Changing tools and offsets based on cutting conditions when running CNC. • Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards. • Using proper feeds, speeds, and other cutting parameters based on work piece material such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc. • Re-machining parts based on engineering or production required changes. • Participate in troubleshooting for production related issues on the shop floor. • Being able to machine prototype hardware with limited supervision. • Other similar or related duties as required.  • Deburr parts when necessary.

Requirements : • 5 years minimum experience setting up and running manual mills and lathes. • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. • CNC experience a plus • Experience machining titanium, stainless, aluminum, plastics and other std aerospace materials. • ESPRIT, Master Cam programming software experience a plus. • Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Be able to communicate technical instructions with engineering department. • Work with little or no supervision, previous lead experience a plus. • Minimum High school education or equivalent. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion. • Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements

Compensation:

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
