We are currently looking for a Construction Site Logistics Manager for a ground-up construction data center site in Martindale, TX. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the onsite delivery roads, staging areas, soil stockpile locations, material deliveries, fencing and gate access modifications, material delivery schedules, and offsite access developments. In this role, you will be a member of our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team concentrating on large scale commercial projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Material Delivery Manager/Coordinator: Develop a detailed plan and process to be shared with each general or prime contractor of how to coordinate delivery time, dates, and access.
• Site Specific Planning: for parking and onsite trailer and logistics coordination to minimize impacts to all the distinctly separate site work locations for all general and prime contractors.
• Coordination of Mobile Canteen Service Locations: Coordinate and direct where, how many, and times of food service mobile canteen food service trucks will be staged for all general and prime contractors.
• Site Traffic Control: Establish and coordinate all onsite road needs for both material delivery, trade busing drop off points, and internal trucking and staging of spoils materials.
• Cooperation Agreement for all Contractors: Develop a detailed Cooperation Plan with all contractors onsite which will be signed and acknowledged by same. Enforce unapproved alterations and discrepancies created by the contractors. Encourage open coordination and weekly meetings with a representative for all contractors in attendance on cooperation with each other.
• Perimeter Fence Management: Coordinate and have the exterior fencing adjusted throughout the entire construction time for the client campus to maintain a secure site, accommodate required work activities, reconfigure site gate access points as the Campus construction evolves.
• Coordination with the Campus Safety Director: It is Cumming Groups intention to have an onsite Safety Director responsible for all issues related to work performed on the Campus. The Safety Director and Team will most likely be located onsite. The Construction Site Logistics manager will coordinate with the Safety Director where that location is ensuring that location has the required utility connections and access for operations.
• Site Clean-Up Coordination: The Construction Site Logistics Manager will be responsible for the general clean-up for the entire site. He/she will work directly with the representative for each contractor and their area of work to maintain a clean and safe work environment for all tradesmen onsite. When required, the Logistics Manager will utilize their own force of labor and equipment to resolve inappropriate areas of the site to maintain the correct environment for all.
• Site Orientation Management: In coordination with the Site Safety Manager ensure all tradesman from all contractors are properly oriented to the site and their area of work responsibility, inclusive of issuing site access badging.
• Weekly and Monthly Reporting: Prepare both weekly and monthly reporting of standardized structure reporting that incorporates information from each contractor and is summarized for the site.
• Permit Coordination both receipt of and closeout of.
• Coordination with the City AHJ’s departments.
• Neighbor Outreach and Coordination relative to impacts to their accessibility and operation.
• Multivista, drone and camera construction recordation of the Campus construction.
• Understanding of where contractors are acquiring offsite storage and staging facilities as well as offsite labor parking areas.
Knowledge & Skills Required: • Manage and monitor team members' activity in alignment with organizational goals.
• Delegate providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback.
• Monitor metrics and course correct as necessary while holding self and others accountable.
• Provide feedback to senior leaders and clearly communicate organizational direction to team members.
• Build relationships with key internal resources (peers, direct reports, & senior leaders).
• Create development opportunities and plan for direct reports and teams; provide ongoing feedback.
• Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in independently managing the project effectively in a compressed timeframe.
• Ability to distinguish between cause and effect of problems.
• Actively listen and communicate effectively, clearly, unambiguously, and completely in both written and oral formats.
Preferred Education and Experience: • Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.
• Proven experience in logistics management within the construction industry, preferably with large-scale projects.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
