Job Description Compensation Overview:  

The starting hourly wage for this role is $35.22  

Shift Premium of $.75/ hr on 2nd shift & $1.00/ hr on 3rd shift.  

Hourly Bonus Program  

Work Schedule:  

· Flexible scheduling, 8-hour workday, 5-6 days a week, with possible overtime .   

· 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)    

· 3rd Shift (11pm-7 am)  

· Employees must have weekend availability.  

· Employees may work weekends and holidays.

Plant Overview : The Champaign, IL plant is the flagship plant in the Kraft Heinz organization and the largest volume producing plant in North America.

Job Overview:  

Line Technicians, as part of the maintenance team, will perform equipment maintenance, inspection, modifications , and troubleshooting duties in a food manufacturing environment, following strict product safety and quality standards. Interested individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced , complex environment.  

Responsibilities & Duties:  

· Execution of basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting , cleaning, inspection, lubricating, and adjusting.  

· Operation of equipment to optimize quality and productivity, make adjustments , and complete changeovers.  

· Completing preventative maintenance by d eveloping, updating, and executing the process.  

· Equipment overhaul, modifications and installations.  

· Training of production line associates.  

· Ensure all products being produced meet quality specifications.  

· Responsible for wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment ) , compliance of safety training, policy and procedures and report any unsafe safety conditions to a Supervisor/ Management  

· Exhibits safe work habits and encourages other to work safely  

· Focus on c ontinuous improvement through innovation.  

· Performs all other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:  

· D emonstrate s mechanical aptitude.  

· Able to safely and effectively operate power tools, hands tools, and electrical/instrument test equipment .  

· Previous experience in manufacturing environment and/or as an automotive technician a plus .  

· Appropriate time management skills to meet deadlines.  

· Able to follow directions and ability to perform tasks safely from start to finish with minimal supervision  

· Exercises good judgment and decision-making skills, bringing up to the supervisor any issues outside of his/her scope of responsibility and control.  

· Able to work flexible schedules when needed.  

· Able to use a computer.  

· Able to lift up to 50lbs.  

· Able to stand for extended periods of time.  

· Able to safely work at heights.  

· Maintain an excellent attendance record / adherence to attendance policy.  

· Able to understand & follow instructions, excellent oral & written communication skills.  

· High School Diploma preferred.
