The workplace mental health consultant role is a unique and exciting opportunity to provide EAP counseling, management consultations, program promotion, critical incident response, and training, etc. to employees, as well as case manage mandatory Drug Free Workplace referrals and conduct expatriate readiness interviews. You may also provide consultation to HR, program managers, and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues. You'll have the support of a collaborative clinical team, real variety in the day-to-day, and room to grow your skills over time. This role reports to the Spring Health Clinical Manager.
What you'll be doing:
• Provide on-site support to managers, people teams, and members at the customer location in Renton, WA, 4 days a week (10a–6p PST), with 1 day remote
• Provide management consultation to leaders in order to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness
• Conduct assessments to determine the right level of care and support plan for referred employees
• Monitor employees' engagement in the mandatory Drug Free Workplace referral process
• Delivery of critical incident response services
• Conduct trainings and facilitate Spring Health benefit promotion events
• Develop expert-level understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs
• Provide solution-focused employee mental health counseling, consultation, support, and connection to appropriate resources
• Complete required internal training and assignments and attend Spring Health Clinical Team meetings
• Follow Spring Health policies and maintain all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards
• Assess for risk and manage member and organizational crises by providing in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow up
• Identify and problem-solve issues that create barriers or disruption to care, with support from leadership
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements
• Other responsibilities as it applies to the success of this role
What we expect from you:

• LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist with independent, unrestricted licensure in WA and at least 3 years of experience
• Note: we're not able to accept applications from anyone requiring licensed clinical supervision
• Experience providing EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services — brief, solution-focused support that helps employees work through personal or work-related challenges, from everyday stress to more complex situations
• Demonstrated experience with substance use disorder (SUD)
• Comfortable adopting new technology and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Trained in evidence-based, short-term, solution-focused therapy
• Comfortable providing safety planning and support during situations where a client might present with higher risk
• Committed to thorough, timely documentation
• Experience with management consultation, management referrals, critical incident response, and EAP presentations (preferred)
• Experience working with leaders or HR professionals (preferred)
• Experience with diverse populations, bilingual a plus (preferred)
• Familiarity with healthcare settings and community resources (preferred)
• Enjoy working independently, with the option to connect and collaborate with other providers and our clinical care navigators (preferred)
The target salary range for this position is $105,000-120,000 + a $2,500 sign on bonus, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
