*This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027.  At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company. 

About this role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Leveraged Air Specialist in Plaquemine (LA).

L eads regional environmental compliance performance at Diamond LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets. Improves through implementation of the environmental system across an entire region   to   add value and to meet business/site and hub objectives as well as maintain the license to operate. Provides support across LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets organizations and handles more complex tasks and projects. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.  

Responsibilities • Develops LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets implementation plans and leads implementation of new and/or complex environmental standards, requirements and improvement initiatives, and tracks success. Ensures effective execution of new or improved environmental compliance programs,   utilizing   the MOC work process,   standards   and procedures throughout the region.   • Leads performance improvement of environmental compliance.   Identifies   opportunities to streamline   delivery   environmental resources and work processes.   • Has accountability to ensure external regulatory requirements are implemented across LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets.   • Provides coaching and mentoring to local delivery   organization   on the implementation of environmental compliance and   plans;   and to help them successfully provide oversight for environmental compliance.   • Performs compliance audits, targeted field assessments and site or plant gap assessments around environmental compliance work process implementation and   assists   the site or plants to develop gap closure plans. Participates in and provides data for environmental and special focus audits and assessments.   • Participates in incident investigations and the corrective action process for environmental issues and opportunities at Diamond LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline Assets.   • Acts as a Reviewer for local MOC’s initiated at Diamond LAO, GBO and regional Gulf Coast Pipeline lacking local leveraged environmental resources to perform a second set of eyes review of the change.   • Keeps current with local, area requirements that are not supported by global regulatory affairs, interprets,   implements   and ensures full sustainable compliance with those external requirements.   • Fulfills governmentally   required   environmental roles   as   Certified Environmental Professional.   Supports   Agency visit protocol   for Diamond assets.   • Works closely with personnel responsible for startup and commissioning of new facilities and   assists   in the development and administration of new environmental programs ensuring compliance with safety standards and applicable laws, regulations, and requirements.   • Develops, reviews, monitors, creates and delivers training, as   appropriate , on environmental compliance related material and ensures tasks are updated/created in the Compliance Task Tool. Trains trainers on delivering   aforementioned training .  

Job information and working conditions

• Work schedule is optional 9/80 or conventional 5 - 8's • Work is primarily in office, with occasional visits to plants • Submit accurate air permit application and conduct associated negotiations to ensure timely receipt of air permit with optimal conditions for construction of a new or modified facility • Prepare accurate air permit renewal applications ensuring less than optimal conditions are addressed and calculations are consistent with air emissions reporting • Calculate economics of projects versus environmental impact (BACT analysis) • Lead ad-hoc team to quickly resolve compliance issues by utilizing the power of diversity • Facilitate compliance with air permit by partnering with plant and EH&S personnel to understand permit requirements and incorporate those requirements into the plant’s operating discipline in order to ensure on-going compliance and facilitate agency investigations • Work with plants to resolve Title V deviations through permit changes
