Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Associate Director, the Revenue Cycle Lead will play a key role in overseeing the distribution of revenue-related assignments and assisting with ad hoc revenue cycle responsibilities. This position is designed for someone with a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, who can effectively manage and mentor a team, ensure operational efficiency, and contribute to process improvements. This is a full-time, fully remote position on our team. Occasional travel may be required for team or company events/meetings. At Spring Health we value internal mobility. What you’ll do:

• Distribute and assign revenue cycle tasks to the team, ensuring all weekly and ad hoc responsibilities are completed on time, accurately, and in accordance with company standards.

• Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to team members, offering support in troubleshooting, resolving issues, driving process improvements, and fostering team development.

• Assist with day-to-day revenue cycle tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations across various areas such as payment posting, billing audits, adjustments, and refund processing. Act as a subject matter expert for the team, providing support and guidance on claim rejections, denials, drafting appeals, and follow-up actions. Help team members and colleagues navigate complex claim issues, offering expertise to ensure timely resolution and reduce rework, ensuring the continued success of the revenue cycle.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize revenue cycle processes, aiming to reduce inefficiencies, minimize errors, decrease aged AR, and enhance overall team performance and workflow. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Spring Health to ensure alignment on revenue cycle operations, proactively resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

• Take on special assignments and tasks as directed by the Revenue Cycle Manager, ensuring that operational and strategic goals are met and that tasks are completed within the specified timelines.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance and ensure revenue cycle targets are met or exceeded. Provide regular updates to the Revenue Cycle Manager regarding team metrics and progress.

• Take on additional duties and responsibilities as designed by the Revenue Cycle Manager to support the broader goals of the department and company.

• Strong Team Mentorship & Support: A successful Revenue Cycle Lead mentors the team to become skilled, self-sufficient, and confident in resolving challenges and managing daily tasks.

• Seamless Revenue Cycle Support: Success means effectively supporting payment posting, audits, adjustments, and refunds while resolving issues quickly to maintain uninterrupted operations.

• Collaboration Across Teams: Success means building strong cross-functional relationships to resolve issues, improve communication, and align team goals with company objectives.

• Effective Management of Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Success means completing ad hoc assignments and special projects on time and in alignment with departmental and organizational goals.

• Consistent Achievement of KPIs: Within six months, success means meeting KPIs by reducing 90+ day AR by 10%, improving denial resolution metrics by 10%, and ensuring team productivity goals are met.

• Focus on Continuous Process Improvement: Success means reducing manual adjustments, improving workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Clear and Effective Communication: Success means communicating clearly and consistently to support collaboration, resolve issues quickly, and maintain alignment on shared goals.

• Utilization of Technology to Enhance Efficiency: Success means using technology like ERA to automate payment posting, reduce errors, and improve workflow efficiency.

What you’ll bring:

• High School Diploma or GED Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with at least three (3) years of experience in the healthcare field in a similar role.

• 2+ years experience with insurance billing and AR collection

• CRCR Certification preferred

• Experience in the Behavioral Health Field

• Comfortable in Evolving Environments

• Tech-Savvy: very comfortable adopting new technologies
