Hiring Manager: Christy Poulos
Team: Product Marketing
Why This Role, Why Now
Braze is the leading customer engagement platform, helping the world's most ambitious brands build absolutely engaging relationships with their customers. Decisioning Studio is our set of products that decide what happens next for every customer, at scale, in the moment.
This is the most technically demanding product area in Product Marketing at Braze, and one of the most strategically consequential. Decisioning sits at the intersection of our data foundation and our AI capabilities — it's the product that makes both of them mean something to a customer. It competes in the fastest-moving corner of enterprise software, against a set of players that changes every quarter, in front of buyers who range from a CMO to a staff data engineer.
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants depth over breadth. You will own Decisioning Studio including positioning, messaging, marketing plans, launch motion, competitive strategy, field narrative, and you'll do it as a peer to the PMMs who carry the rest of the Braze portfolio, helping shape the overarching narrative that connects it all.
What You'll Own
• Decisioning Studio product marketing including positioning, messaging architecture, launch strategy and execution, competitive strategy, pricing and packaging input, and the field narrative. Every decision about how this product reaches the market runs through you.
• Technical audience credibility. Own how Braze explains decisioning to data engineers, architects, platform owners, and technical evaluators. These are audiences that will not tolerate marketing that skates over how something actually works.
• Competitive strategy for decisioning and AI-driven personalization. Know this competitive set cold, and turn that knowledge into positioning that wins deals rather than positioning that describes the market.
• Your contribution to the Data & AI portfolio narrative. Decisioning Studio doesn't stand alone. You'll partner with the PMMs who own the Braze Data Platform, observability, Account Objects, Operator, and Agent Console to build the overarching story that explains why these products belong together.
• Roadmap influence. Partner with Product Management and Engineering as a genuine strategic peer, bringing market and customer insight that shapes what gets built, not just how it gets announced.
What You'll Do
• Translate genuinely complex technology into language that lands. Decisioning logic, large language models, agentic systems, data infrastructure — you make hard things clear without making them shallow, and you adjust register for the room without losing substance.
• Run launches that don't stop at the launch. Take Decisioning Studio releases from positioning through field readiness, and build the sustained motion that drives adoption and expansion on an ongoing basis, not just the moment of announcement.
• Build and own the marketing plan for your products. You will partner with our demand, brand, and communication team members to build, execute, and measure every strategy and tactic.
• Own pricing and packaging input. Partner with Pricing, Product, and Finance on how decisioning capabilities are packaged and monetized, and make sure the story holds together for customers and for the field.
• Enable the field to sell a technical product with confidence. Partner with the PMM GTM team to build the narratives, plays, and assets that let Sales, Solutions Consulting, and CS support our customers and prospects.
• Spend real time with customers and the market. Treat customer and analyst time as a priority, not a luxury, and bring what you learn back into positioning, enablement, and the roadmap conversation.
• Act as a thought leader in the market. You write content, speak at events, and show up as a voice to listen to for marketers adopting AI in new ways. You are comfortable on stage, and an engaging writer.
• Use AI as a practitioner, not a commentator. You market AI products and you use AI in your own work. You're credible on both because you actually do both.
• Operate without direct authority. Get things shipped across Product, Engineering, Sales, Enablement, and Marketing by earning trust and building relationships, not by escalating.
Who You Are
• Technically deep, and it shows. You can hold your own in an architecture conversation, ask an engineer a question that makes them think, and earn credibility with technical buyers on the substance of what you say.
• Fluent in the enterprise AI landscape. Large language models, agentic AI, AI infrastructure, and the evolving ecosystem of AI tools and platforms — you follow this market closely and have real opinions about where it's going.
• An exceptional writer. You write with clarity, precision, and edge, and you can compress something complicated into something sharp.
• Comfor
