About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Market Risk Officer to join a high-performing team within Market Risk Management responsible for leading stress testing for market and counterparty risk, regulatory reporting, risk identification, and strategic risk infrastructure initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to shape critical risk management processes, influence strategic decision-making, and engage directly with senior executives, regulatory stakeholders, and key business partners. The successful candidate will serve as team lead responsible for the execution and governance of quarterly regulatory reporting for trading businesses (FR Y-14Q Schedule F) and additionally drive continuous enhancement of risk identification, reporting controls, and analytical frameworks.

The ideal candidate will bring deep market risk knowledge, strong understanding of risk sensitivities and CCAR/FR Y-14Q requirements, demonstrated success partnering with business and technology teams, technical acumen, and exceptional attention to detail.

In this role, you will: • Lead the execution, governance, and continuous enhancement of critical regulatory CCAR reporting (FR Y-14Q) and stress testing processes for market risk. • Provide strategic leadership for risk identification and materiality assessment programs used to evaluate emerging and evolving market and counterparty risks. • Serve as a primary liaison with regulatory, governance, audit, compliance, and risk oversight partners. • Drive the execution of quarterly and annual regulatory deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with applicable requirements. • Develop and maintain robust control frameworks, operating procedures, and governance documentation supporting regulatory reporting and stress testing activities. • Partner closely with business leaders, risk managers, finance, and technology teams to identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and strategic infrastructure enhancements. • Analyze risk exposures, reporting trends, and emerging risk developments to provide actionable insights to senior leadership. • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, regulatory materials, governance updates, and management reporting. • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving risk data, reporting architecture, controls, and technology modernization efforts. • Establish and maintain strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups to drive alignment, accountability, and successful execution of enterprise priorities. • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, governance reviews, and ongoing supervisory engagements. • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.  

Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications: • Significant experience in market risk, counterparty risk, stress testing, regulatory reporting, capital planning, or related risk management disciplines. • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading products, risk measurement methodologies, and regulatory expectations within large financial institutions. • Proven ability to lead complex regulatory, governance, or strategic transformation initiatives across multiple business functions. • Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives, technology organizations, risk specialists, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights. • Experience driving process improvements, control enhancements, and strategic technology solutions. • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong database and SQL/query skills
