About this role
Title: Lead eDiscovery Analyst
KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead eDiscovery Analyst to join its in-house Legal team. This role provides critical eDiscovery, digital forensics, and litigation support to the Litigation and Labor & Employment teams, ensuring the defensible management of electronically stored information (ESI) across legal matters, investigations, and regulatory requests.
Partnering closely with Legal, Information Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Human Resources, and external counsel, the eDiscovery Analyst manages the end-to-end eDiscovery lifecycle, conducts forensic investigations and data collections, supports legal hold and preservation activities, and helps ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and data privacy requirements.
In September 2025, KBR announced that we are spinning our Mission Technology Solutions business into a separate public company. This role will ultimately be part of the new company. The Mission Technology Solutions business partners with governments and defense, intelligence, space, aviation, and critical infrastructure customers to deliver high-end engineering, science, technology, and mission support solutions.
Key Responsibilities • eDiscovery Management: Support the full eDiscovery lifecycle, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) in support of litigation, employment matters, internal investigations, and data subject access requests (DSARs). • Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary liaison between the Legal Department and key stakeholders, including Information Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Human Resources, outside counsel, and third-party vendors on eDiscovery and forensic matters. • Digital Forensics & Investigations: Conduct and oversee forensic data collections and analyses using industry-standard digital forensics tools while maintaining chain-of-custody standards, evidence integrity, and legal admissibility throughout the investigative process. • Evidence Collection & Analysis: Perform endpoint and data source forensic analysis to identify, preserve, and interpret evidence relevant to litigation, employment disputes, regulatory matters, and internal investigations. • Internal Investigation Support: Partner with Human Resources, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to support investigations involving employee misconduct, data loss, misuse of company resources, and other sensitive matters. • DSAR & Regulatory Response Management: Manage forensic and data collection activities associated with DSARs and other regulatory data access or deletion requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and defensible responses. • eDiscovery Platform Administration: Oversee and optimize the utilization of eDiscovery platforms, including Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Premium and Relativity, to support litigation, investigations, and compliance activities. • Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: Deliver timely case updates, investigative findings, and technical recommendations to attorneys, business leaders, and other stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner. • Compliance & Industry Best Practices: Monitor developments in eDiscovery case law, regulatory requirements, forensic methodologies, and emerging technologies to maintain current and defensible practices. • Additional Responsibilities: Support special projects, legal operations initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Legal Studies, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • 7-10+ years of experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, litigation support, or related disciplines. • Experience supporting legal departments, law firms, or corporate investigations functions. • Relevant forensic certifications such as EnCE, CCE, CFCE, or equivalent required.
Technical & Professional Skills: • Hands-on experience with digital forensics tools, including OpenText EnCase (required) . • Working proficiency with eDiscovery platforms such as Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium) and Relativity. • Strong knowledge of enterprise technology environments, endpoints, cloud platforms, and Microsoft 365. • Demonstrated experience managing eDiscovery matters, litigation holds, internal investigations, and DSAR-related activities. • Strong understanding of forensic acquisition methodologies, chain-of-custody requirements, and defensible evidence handling practices. • Deep knowledge of legal hold processes, records preservation strategies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to litigation and employment matters. • Experience collaborating with attorneys, compliance professionals, external counsel, and regulatory agencies on discovery and investigative matters. • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and DSAR response requirements, including defensible collection, review, and production workflows. • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent matters and deadlines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. • Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling privileged, confidential, and highly sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working within a corporate in-house legal department. • Advanced experience supporting employment investigations, regulatory inquiries, and internal corporate investigations. • Experience leading complex cross-functional eDiscovery engagements involving Legal, HR, Compliance, and Information Security stakeholders. • Knowledge of emerging eDiscovery technologies, forensic methodologies, and data governance best practices. • Experience supporting global investigations, inte
