About this role

Department University Police Department Compensation $28.84 to Negotiable Hourly   General Description / Primary Purpose The Law Enforcement Officer provides proactive patrol, incident response, and law enforcement services to ensure the safety and security of the campus community. This role enforces laws and University regulations, conducts investigations, and supports emergency response operations.   Job Functions • Conduct proactive patrols to deter crime and ensure campus safety • Respond to incidents and take appropriate law enforcement action • Investigate criminal activity and prepare reports • Enforce University traffic, parking, and safety laws or regulations • Provide assistance to the public, including first aid and escorts • Monitor and respond to alarms and secure university facilities • Control traffic, manage hazards, and support event safety operations • Serve as a Tier 1 emergency responder • Other duties as assigned

  Required Qualifications Must meet the requirements of Chapter 943, Florida Statutes and have 1+ years of sworn law enforcement or sworn investigative experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
