POSITION SUMMARY The Landscape and Grounds Maintenance Technician works as part of the landscaping and grounds maintenance team to maintain clean, safe, and high-quality common areas and properties, including landscaping, snow removal, general cleaning, and minor repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Perform daily landscaping and grounds maintenance for managed HOA properties.

• Perform snow and ice removal, mowing, trimming, weeding, leaf removal, and refuse cleanup.

• Operate, load, unload, and safely maintain landscaping and grounds equipment.

• Maintain clean, safe, and high-quality common areas, buildings, and grounds.

• Perform general cleaning of lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other common areas.

• Transport trash, waste, recycling, and debris to appropriate disposal areas.

• Perform minor repairs in rental units, including replacing lightbulbs, CO monitors, smoke detectors, and batteries.

• Track and maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and company assets.

• Identify and communicate property, equipment, safety, or guest/owner concerns to supervisors.

• Safely drive between properties and operate equipment in accordance with safety procedures.

• Assist other departments with moving furniture, storing supplies, and transporting equipment.

• Work cooperatively with the landscaping team and other departments to meet production schedules and maintain safety standards.

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 1 year of direct or equivalent work experience.

• Ability to read and understand basic instructions, correspondence, and safety information.

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and other employees.

• Ability to follow one- and two-step instructions and use sound judgment in routine situations.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate vehicles between properties.

• Ability to safely operate and work around landscaping and maintenance equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written

• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be a minimum 18 years of age

• Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance.

• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Frequently use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials.

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Work around moving mechanical equipment and moderate noise.

• Occasionally work at heights and in areas with potential electrical hazards.

• Must have close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
