Summary of Job Duties: The purpose of this position is to organize and coordinate the actives of the front desk from receiving patient samples, ordering the tests, preparing aliquots of blood for the neonate population to issuing blood and blood components. The position requires a lot of interaction between the clients of the UAMS blood bank. The person at the front desk is the first voice the clients hear. The position will assist in blood inventory management in order to ensure the amount of available inventory is acceptable at all times. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications: • Previous clinical laboratory or medical office experience

Additional Information: Job Requirements: • Modifies blood and blood components suitable for each patient's need • Interact with Blood Bank staff and hospital staff in order to facilitate patient care.

• Receives patient samples, orders tests, issues blood products, and centrifuge samples

• Manages available blood component inventory to ensure appropriate levels are maintained.

• Perform other duties as needed.
