Job Description: The IronSpire Group at Crowe provides a collection of boutique tax and advisory services to America’s most affluent individuals and families, their family offices, related entities, and investment and estate planning vehicles. Our multidisciplinary team delivers highly tailored strategies designed to address sophisticated domestic and cross-border tax, estate, gift, and wealth planning matters.
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager with significant ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individual, family, and family office tax experience, including deep expertise in complex tax compliance. This individual will play a key role in advising sophisticated clients and their advisors, leading complex engagements, developing high-performing teams, and supporting the continued growth of the IronSpire Group.
Responsibilities: • Advise ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, and their related entities on complex tax matters, including income tax planning, estate and gift planning, charitable giving, wealth transfer strategies, and other sophisticated planning opportunities • Lead the review and sign-off of complex UHNW individual and family office tax compliance engagements, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and appropriate risk management • Research and advise on complex tax matters to optimize clients' tax positions and support their broader financial, investment, and wealth planning objectives • Lead engagement teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of client work while effectively managing engagement economics, timelines, and quality • Serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to clients, family offices, attorneys, investment advisors, and other members of clients' professional advisory teams • Proactively identify additional client needs and opportunities to expand relationships and services • Develop new business through internal and external relationships, referral networks, and market activity • Lead, coach, and develop junior professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment • Maintain advanced knowledge of tax law and regulatory developments affecting ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and related entities • Leverage tax technology, software, and data to improve the quality and efficiency of client service delivery • Incorporate tax transformation and technology-enabled solutions into team operations and client engagements • Contribute thought leadership and technical expertise within the UHNW, private client, and family office marketplace
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or JD/LLM required • Active CPA or JD required • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in public accounting, law, or a sophisticated family office environment • Experience serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, including complex individual income tax compliance and planning • Demonstrated experience with family offices and related entities, trusts, estates, partnerships, investment structures, and/or wealth transfer planning • Strong technical knowledge of tax matters affecting UHNW individuals and families • Experience leading and reviewing complex tax compliance engagements and managing multiple client relationships • Proven ability to identify client needs, advise on complex matters, and develop long-term trusted relationships with clients and their external advisors • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to developing and mentoring professionals

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $139,200.00 - $293,500.00 per year.

This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
