Job Description: Job Title: Investment Banking: Latin America Debt Capital Markets Origination Corporate Title: Vice President Location: New York, NY
Overview: Our Investment Banking and Capital Markets business is focused on serving sovereign, corporate and financial institution (including multilateral) clients across all of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Desk is integrated into Deutsche Bank’s global platform, working alongside coverage bankers and other product-specific partners across our offices in New York, Europe, Asia and Brazil. Product partners include Syndicate, Liability Management, Sales and Trading, Rates and FX, Loan Structuring, among others, who help deliver financing, capital raising and risk management solutions to clients across Investment Grade and High Yield. Products covered and executed for clients include International bond issuance in the public markets in hard-currency denominations (USD, EUR, CHF, AUD) as well as in Latin American local currencies.

What You’ll Do: • Conduct all aspects of the bond execution process, including origination, documentation, marketing, and distribution; daily tasks will vary depending on the phase of the current transactions. • Creation of presentation/pitching material for potential deals, as well as summaries of economic and market development as well as Preparation of market updates, pricing and client pitch material • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of debt markets, Latam sector financing activity and client developments • Effectively communicate pertinent market and business information to clients and colleagues • Build and manage client relationships through active client dialogue clients (phone, writing, meetings), to understand and meet their needs • Engage with colleagues across DCM, syndicate, sales, trading and banking to identify themes and opportunities relevant to client coverage
How You’ll Lead: • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships • Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients • Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated
Skills You’ll Need: • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, product and market knowledge • Strong technical and academic background • Relevant experience (Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Credit Markets preferable) • Strong interest in career progression within Debt Capital Markets • Experience in market trend interpretation
Skills That Will Help You Excel: • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken • A strategic thinker with the ability to understand broad business issues, their potential implications and to make sound business recommendations • Dynamic, agile, highly motivated. Able to navigate, adapt and thrive in a constantly changing/evolving global bank • Working knowledge of the Bloomberg
Expectations: It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired in this role work in person in the New York, NY office.
Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodation to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion. The salary range for this position in New York City is $200,000 to $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
