Inventory Planning & Logistics Specialist
Location: FishHawk, Florida (Mosaic North America Headquarters)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
About the Role This role leads inventory planning and transportation coordination for sulfur and other critical raw materials that support Mosaic's Central Florida operations. By balancing inventory, coordinating material movements, and managing transportation execution, you'll help ensure a reliable supply of materials needed to support production safely and efficiently. Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, carriers, and third-party partners, you'll play an important role in resolving operational challenges and identifying opportunities to improve service, reliability, and cost performance. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges, working across functions, and using data to drive effective operational decisions.
What you’ll do: • Plan, monitor, and balance sulfur inventories across Central Florida manufacturing facilities to support production requirements and maintain a reliable supply of critical raw materials.
• Coordinate transportation activities across multiple product lines, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective movement of materials between plants, terminals, ports, carriers, and third-party partners.
• Identify and resolve inventory, supply, and transportation challenges by proactively managing risks, constraints, disruptions, and changing operational needs.
• Manage transportation administration activities, including carrier relationships, freight rates, transportation agreements, and logistics execution.
• Create and manage transportation and inventory-related orders, purchase orders, and SAP transactions, while supporting freight payment processing, invoice reconciliation, and transportation cost management.
• Develop performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, service reliability, and operational excellence.
What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics networks, or related operational environments, OR high school diploma/GED with 8+ years of equivalent experience in these areas.
• Experience supporting vessel, rail, truck, terminal, or other transportation operations.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
• Solid process orientation with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with supply chain systems such as SAP, o9, or similar planning and logistics platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Bonus Points If You Have the Following • Experience dispatching trucks, managing inventory levels, and balancing transportation requirements across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of chemical, fertilizer, mining, agricultural, or industrial manufacturing supply chains.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Strategic planning experience within complex transportation or logistics networks.
• Demonstrated success managing carrier relationships and transportation performance.
