About this role

Compensation Range: $40/hr - $45/hr

 Intermediate Field Controls Technician Daleville, VA | Up to 75% Travel Required Take Your HVAC & Controls Skills on the Road Munters is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical environments. Our Data Center Service Engineering team is looking for an Intermediate Field Controls Technician to support advanced cooling systems at customer sites across the U.S. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting HVAC and controls systems, traveling to customer sites, and solving technical challenges in the field . What You'll Do • Travel to customer jobsites— up to 75% on average —to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and controls issues. • Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians onsite and remotely. • Troubleshoot controls programs, HMI systems, and unit/system interfaces. • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues. • Support new product development and testing at Munters facilities. • Assist with prototype builds and provide feedback to Engineering and R&D. • Participate in Kaizen and cross-functional improvement initiatives. • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects. • Work independently while collaborating with Service, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.

What We're Looking For • 2–4 years of industry experience or relevant trade school/certification. • Experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls systems . • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams . • Knowledge of HVAC components including compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers. • Experience working with equipment involving sheet metal, piping, valves, and heat exchangers. • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently. • Willingness and ability to travel extensively—up to 75% . • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in active industrial/customer environments.
