WHO ARE WE ? Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting, pyrotechnics and sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and next generation special effects, our events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception, Insomniac's events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world’s largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
THE ROLE Insomniac is looking for a Merchandise Accountant to support operations including month-end close, reporting and analysis, and day-to-day activity. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Event Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee month-end close process for festival and e-commerce merchandise • Prepare journal entries for merchandise inventory, COGS, and accruals • Reconcile inventory, received not invoiced account, and artist royalty payments • Review, code, and approve AP invoices for merchandise related expenses • Partner with merchandise department on new initiatives and any discrepancies • Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements • Streamline and create new processes
QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred • 3+ years of accounting experience or related experience, preferably in cost accounting and inventory management • Experience with Acumatica preferred • Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and reporting software • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

Salary Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD
