ABOUT THE ROLE

As an HR Business Partner, you will work directly with leaders across the organization to improve manager effectiveness, performance outcomes, and team health. This role is designed for someone who operates with high autonomy, strong judgment, and a deep understanding of how people practices drive business results.

You will be the primary partner for leaders navigating growth, performance challenges, and organizational change.

We're excited to hire this role at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA. All of our positions follow an in-office schedule Monday through Friday, allowing you to collaborate directly with your team. WHAT YOU’LL DO WITH US

- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, feedback, and team effectiveness

- Lead and execute performance review cycles, calibration, and talent discussions

- Coach leaders through complex employee situations, including performance improvement plans and terminations

- Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation in partnership with leadership and legal/PEO resources

- Identify patterns and systemic issues, and proactively recommend solutions

- Partner with the Head of People and People Ops to ensure consistent, scalable practices

- Help define and reinforce expectations for leadership and people management at Range

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

- 7+ years experience as an HRBP in a fast growing startup, ideally within the SaaS, Tech space

- Strong coaching and influencing skills across all levels

- Comfort navigating ambiguity and making judgment calls independently

- Excellent communicator with a pragmatic, business-minded approach

- Bias toward action and ownership
