Job Posting Title: Garage Staff (Morning Shift) ---- Hiring Department: Parking and Transportation Services ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 20 ---- FLSA Status: To Be Determined at Offer ---- Earliest Start Date: Ongoing ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue ---- Location: AUSTIN, TX ---- Job Details: General Notes    UT Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) provides the campus access, mobility, and services through policies that are customer focused, environmentally friendly, and economically sound. PTS understands that as a student, your first obligation is your education - we work around your schedule. 

Purpose   PTS is looking for DEPENDABLE, RELIABLE, and FRIENDLY part-time Garage Staff. The shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 am until 11:30am. The job site is ON-CAMPUS - and outdoors but in a covered environment.

Responsibilities   • Staff will be stationed at the exit of various University garages, providing assistance to exiting vehicles.

Required Qualifications    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.  • Must be enrolled at an institution of higher learning and meet enrollment eligibility requirements for a non-academic student position . • Must not be working for another UT Department. 

Preferred Qualifications • Customer service skills are a plus. 

Salary Range:   $14/hour 

Working Conditions   • Use of manual dexterity  • May work around loud noises • Climbing of stairs • May work in all weather conditions, including inclement and extreme weather  • Some heavy lifting and moving up to 50lbs. may be required  • Uniform is a PTS shirt & safety vest (provided), and black or khaki pants or shorts 

Work Shift   • Monday - Thursday 7:30am-11:30am • Staff will rotate through on-campus parking garage locations.
