Who you are:

The Functional Specialist role is pivotal in translating mission needs and operational requirements into functional system specifications. This position ensures that solutions support user intentions, maintain software security, and adhere to change management protocols. Located in Washington, DC, this role is essential for driving automation goals and facilitating alignment across various teams.

What you do:

• Plan and implement client events such as workshops and elicitations to advance automation objectives and timelines.

• Facilitate recurring governance and strategy sessions to ensure alignment across delivery, product, and technical teams.

• Manage weekly operational rhythms, including preparing governance decks, monthly progress reports, coordinating cross-team efforts, issue triage, and overseeing automation quality and requirements intake.

• Translate customer needs into viable business solutions.

• Design new business processes based on customer requirements.

• Gather and document business requirements effectively.

• Map operational workflows and data flows to ensure seamless processes.

• Define user stories and create functional specifications.

• Support testing validation and facilitate stakeholder reviews.

• Implement new business processes through user sessions and effective stakeholder management.

• Support changes through comprehensive change enablement initiatives.

What you need:

• Experience in Web Technologies.

• Experience in Web Content Management.

• Strong capabilities in Functional Requirements Analysis.

• Experience with Functional Testing.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits. You can find more information on benefits here. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $64,000 — $124,200 USD
