Job Description At U.S. Bank, we're committed to helping our clients succeed through trusted partnerships and operational excellence. As a Freight Account Manager, you'll serve as the primary account manager for a portfolio of large freight-payment clients, helping navigate operational needs, coordinate cross-functional support teams, and deliver an exceptional client experience. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight payment, or carrier operations who enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and driving results through collaboration. What You'll Do • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned client accounts. • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for a portfolio of freight-payment clients. • Lead recurring customer review meetings and status calls. • Coordinate priorities across internal teams to support client goals and service expectations. • Manage projects, deadlines, escalations, and operational initiatives from initiation through resolution. • Identify process improvements and recommend solutions that enhance the client experience. • Support strategic business reviews and ongoing account performance discussions. • Maintain accountability for deliverables, communication, and overall account health.
What Makes You Successful • Experience managing client relationships in a complex operational environment. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities. • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and follow-through. • Background in transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight payment, freight forwarding, carrier operations, or related industries preferred. • Experience leading projects, coordinating resources, and managing competing deadlines.
Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience • Seven to 10 years of client management
Preferred Skills/Experience • Extensive knowledge of business, financials, products/services and the market • Strong relationship building and selling skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Advanced knowledge of account management, project management, operations and logistics • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously • Proven customer service/relations skills, including situational leadership and dispute/conflict resolution • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $104,130.00 - 127,270.00
