A   Food Runner at WATR   works effectively as part of the service team of the Restaurant/Bar.   The Food Runner   is primarily responsible, but not limited to,   the proper delivery of food from the kitchen to the guest and   assisting   with overall service to the guest.  

GENERAL DUTIES:  

• Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations  

• Follow   high standards   of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures  

• Keeps all service areas clean, organized, and stocked  

• Follow server’s food orders in placing correct item in front of correct guest  

• Assis servers in any tableside presentation  

• Follow service pace in delivering food from kitchen to guest’s table and ensure food quality and presentation  

• Willingness to   assist   busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when needed  

• Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact respectable conversation and smiling  

• Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials  

• Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by   federal and state guidelines  

• Perform other related activities as assigned by management  

• Guarantee neat and quality service  

• Participate in daily shift meetings  

• Adhere to strict uniform & grooming standards  

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

• Are organized and proficient at multitasking  

• Are a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations  

• Strong communication   and customer service skills  

• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.  

• Able to stand for   long periods   of time  

• Proficient in verbal and written English communication  

• Food Handling certification   (can be obtained during employment)  

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees   are required to   work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel
