This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.  As the Fluids Test Engineer, you will support test design and test execution for fluids components across our Lunar Lander product lines.

Responsibilities: • Write test plans and test procedures for pump and fluid components, including development, and environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks

Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field • 2+ years of relevant experience • Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with cryogenic and GHe test capabilities, including design, fabrication, installation, and operation. • Experience with component testing of spaceflight hardware through the development, qualification, and acceptance of test campaigns • Experience testing pumps, including hydraulic and cryogenic. • Experience with controllers, including VFDs, PLCs • Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems • Familiarity with cleanroom work and its associated best practices • Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLAB

Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $96,480-$135,072 Other site ranges may differ

  Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35 Other site ranges may differ
