We are seeking a talented individual to join our Underwriting team at Torrent Technologies. This role will be based in Kalispell , or can be performed Remotely Nationwide .

As a Flood Underwriter, you will work under the supervision of the Underwriting Manager, reviewing and analyzing quotations while servicing an existing book of business.

We will count on you to: • Underwrite new submissions to ensure new policies are correct, per guidelines.

• Process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements, handle billing issues, and complete policy issuance.

• Review all underwriting information, including applications, photographs, elevation certificates, and third-party internet resources to accurately underwrite policies.

• Provide customer service to agents via phone support, online chat, and emails, meeting required production KPIs as defined by leadership.

• Deescalate difficult customer situations and bring them to complete resolution.

• Actively participate in group activities, including daily huddles, team meetings, and training opportunities.

What you need to have: • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1+ year of insurance underwriting or recent flood insurance experience.

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

• Basic to intermediate technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

What makes you stand out: • 2+ years of underwriting experience with ANFI designation.

• Knowledge of flood insurance practices, underwriting methodologies, and insurance procedures/policies.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $42,300 to $90,100.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
