What you will do The Sprinkler Operations Manager is responsible for leading the Mechanical Sprinkler delivery process across the district. This role balances customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, cost control, and financial performance while overseeing project engineering, project management, CAD operations, order entry, installation, and technical installation support. Key Responsibilities • Lead Mechanical Sprinkler delivery activities from order entry through installation and technical support.

• Partner with sales to review customer requirements, contractual obligations, and the best Johnson Controls solution.

• Oversee project engineering, project management, CAD operations, submittals, installation schematics, and equipment delivery.

• Manage contract review, technical support, outside purchasing, scheduling, labor planning, and business approvals.

• Coordinate installation planning, material purchasing, subcontractor management, and technical installation support.

• Work with the service team to support seamless project turnover and customer handoff.

• Drive productivity improvements through performance measures, coaching, and support for sales growth.

• Manage personnel actions, goal setting, performance reviews, training, and development for subordinate employees.

• Support safe work practices, code compliance, and timely corrective actions.

• Perform other duties as directed.

How You Will Do It • Own safety, quality, and integrity in every stage of the work by keeping employee training current, identifying hazards early, and acting quickly on corrective actions.

• Stay close to the customer and the jobsite by aligning with sales, clarifying requirements, and maintaining clear communication from order entry through warranty support.

• Manage the work with discipline and accountability by controlling direct and indirect costs, protecting profitability, and executing against the approved financial plan.

• Remove obstacles and keep delivery moving by coordinating engineering, CAD, purchasing, scheduling, labor planning, and installation support without delays.

• Improve every day through candid problem-solving by using performance measures, identifying gaps, and applying practical actions that raise productivity and service levels.

• Win as one team by building trust with sales, service, project teams, and subcontractors, while valuing different perspectives and supporting strong collaboration.

What we look for • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is preferred.

• Minimum seven years of experience managing district operational activities or equivalent experience in the construction industry.

• Experience in the sprinkler fire protection industry is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with effective writing, speaking, and presentation ability.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in training, team building, branch administration, negotiation, and customer/company management.

• Ability to read and understand financial statements and apply financial tools to forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual business results.

• Ability to read and negotiate standard construction contract terms.

• Previous P&L management experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes, or the ability to learn them quickly.

• Computer fluency in Windows, Excel, and other Microsoft products.

• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred • NICET Level II Certification.

• Experience with personnel development, subcontractor coordination, and district-level operational reporting.

HIRING SALARY RANGE : $95,000- $111,900 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
