As a GE Appliances Financial Analyst (Warranty), you will provide analytical support for Cost of Quality (COQ), Warranty, and Supply Chain functions through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, improve data integrity, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive business performance. You will also support leadership decision-making by delivering actionable financial insights, managing key financial processes, and leading initiatives that enhance operational and financial results. How You'll Create Possibilities • Leads financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close activities for approximately $250 million in annual Warranty, Concessions, and CE&I expenditures with general supervision.
• Partners with Cost of Quality (COQ) leadership to develop and implement strategies that reduce approximately $450 million in annual COQ spending across Warranty, Damage/Returns, Scrap, and Insurance. • Manages the analysis and reporting of the $80 million Warranty Reserve, collaborating with Quality and Controllership to ensure accurate reserve methodology, timely monthly adjustments, and compliance with financial reporting requirements. • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of COQ financial data by reconciling reports to the general ledger and validating upstream system inputs. • Collaborates with cross-functional partners, including Quality, Service, and Digital Technology (DT), to improve data quality, resolve system mapping issues, and enhance visibility into product-level cost drivers. • Facilitates recurring cross-functional meetings with Quality and Controllership to drive data quality initiatives, monitor progress, and resolve warranty and quality-related reporting discrepancies. • Analyzes large and complex datasets to identify cost drivers, trends, and variances, translating financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations for Finance and Supply Chain leadership. • Partners with Finance leadership to communicate key drivers of warranty and quality costs, providing actionable analysis to support strategic decision-making and cost reduction initiatives. • Supports budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities for Supply Chain functions, including COQ/AME operating expenses, Supply Chain depreciation, and program expenses, including discretionary spending, labor, and capital investments. • Serves as a key financial business partner to Finance, COQ, AME, Supply Chain, and Controllership, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and promoting accountability for financial performance. • Prepares and delivers ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and special projects to support evolving business priorities and strategic initiatives.

Crafts clear, audience-appropriate financial updates and variance explanations, leveraging data visualization and written commentary to convey insights. • Theoretical Job Knowledge: Possesses practical knowledge of the job area, typically acquired through a combination of advanced education and experience. • Financial Management: Builds and refines financial models and forecasts with moderate supervision, integrating historical data, business drivers, and assumptions to support short-term planning and decision-making. • Operational Execution: Independently manages a range of recurring finance processes, identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements, ensuring timely and error-free outputs. • Business Partnership: Contributes to financial planning and project discussions by translating business goals into financial implications and collaborating across functions to support accurate tracking and resource alignment. • Controllership & Risk Management: Identifies compliance gaps or anomalies in financial data, proactively addresses minor control issues, and supports risk mitigation efforts in collaboration with more senior team members.
Educational and Experiential Background • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
Preferred Education/Experience • Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion modules; Strong system skills (i.e.: Microsoft Access and Business Objects).
