The Community Health Center is looking for a visionary Finance Specialist Senior to serve as the analytical engine behind our Health Centers’ current and future growth! In this high-impact role, you won't just manage numbers, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of healthcare services that support diverse, vibrant communities every single day.
As the Finance Specialist Senior , you’ll sit at the intersection of finance, operational strategy, and community impact. You will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, empowering optimal business decision-making and ensuring our resources go where they are needed most.
Responsibilities will include: • Perform annual and long-term financial planning processes, including project management responsibilities, development and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct complex and ongoing analysis of organizational, financial, and operational performance.
• Prepare, monitor and review the assigned program annual budgets to ensure compliance with revenue, expenditure, and operational projections and other financial and operational related issues.
• Assess the risks and opportunities inherent in the Health Center meeting of annual goals and objectives through complex investigations, research, reviews and audits to reveal, if any, discrepancies that require correction, training plans or reports to funding sources of correction plans.
• Work with staff to develop corrective action plans and strategy, training needs, and cost/benefit analysis to meet goals, objectives, stay within budget and meet funding requirements and rules/policies.
• Use cost studies and alternative analysis and research to assess efficiencies and priorities.
• Provide updates, training and information to senior leadership on legal/rule changes or conflict.
• Utilize benchmarking and comparison studies of similar organizations to assist in decision making and operational performance for both internal and external audiences.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be as noted below. All non-traditional education, training and experience will be evaluated.
Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, or a related field; AND
Experience: Three (3) to six (6) years of progressively responsible financial analysis, advanced level professional accounting or fiscal/grants management experience.

Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills. • Demonstrated relational skills related coordinating between technical and service delivery programs
• Exercise independent thought and judgement in developing and preparing financial reports using automated systems including enterprise system software and Microsoft excel platform
• Working knowledge of governmental accounting and budgeting as well as related standards and practices
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Experience working in an FQHC environment
