The Field Engineer supports IT installations, maintenance, and operational projects across Copart headquarters, offices, and yard locations. This position provides technical support for equipment deployments, office changes, site openings, and day-to-day IT operations. Travel may be required on an occasional basis.
Responsibilities • Install, configure, and support PCs, printers, VoIP phones, mobile devices, and network equipment. • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and telecommunications issues. • Manage and resolve Helpdesk tickets in a timely manner. • Monitor and support data circuits and vendor services. • Maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation. • Assist with office and yard technology moves, adds, and changes. • Support IT infrastructure projects and equipment deployments. • Conduct site assessments and verify equipment installations. • Test network and device connectivity to ensure operational readiness. • Coordinate with vendors for equipment purchases and services. • Update project records and documentation. • Provide support during new site openings and special projects. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills • Basic knowledge of networking, telecommunications, and structured cabling. • Experience supporting PCs, peripherals, and network equipment. • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Skills • Experience coordinating IT projects. • Knowledge of enterprise networking and telecommunications. • Experience supporting multiple office or yard locations.
