About this role

Job Description Summary The Executive Protection Specialist works under the direction of senior protective staff and supports the safety, security, privacy, mobility, and continuity of operations for executives, designated family members, visiting dignitaries, Board-level guests, and other covered persons. This role operates as part of a professional executive protection team and supports close protection, armed protective operations, travel security, event security, residential security, aviation support, transportation coordination, protective intelligence collection, basic investigative support, emergency response, and risk mitigation across office, residence, event, and travel environments. The position requires sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, executive presence, situational awareness, report writing, readiness to travel, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and sensitive environments where professionalism and confidentiality are essential.

Job Description Key Responsibilities:

Protective Operations: • Provide executive protection support for senior leaders, designated family members, visiting VIPs, and other covered persons under the direction of senior protective staff. • Assist with close protection operations, secure movements, arrivals, departures, escorts, access control, protective formations, and transportation-related support. • Support on-site and off-site protective planning for executive activity, dignitary visits, shareholder, client, Board, and corporate events. • Maintain continuous situational awareness to identify suspicious activity, operational vulnerabilities, surveillance indicators, and emerging risks.

Protective Advances and Travel Security: • Conduct and support entry-level protective advances, including site walkthroughs, access point identification, credential verification, medical resource identification, safe-haven planning, emergency exits, and coordination of access-control measures. • Assist with domestic and international travel security planning, including hotels, venues, routes, transportation providers, medical facilities, local emergency resources, and contingency options. • Develop or support route plans, arrival/departure procedures, emergency action plans, and movement notes under senior direction. • Coordinate professionally with aviation personnel, transportation providers, hotels, venues, event hosts, local security, law enforcement, and internal stakeholders.

Protective Intelligence and Threat Assessment Support: • Conduct protective intelligence research to identify threats, suspicious activity, online fixation, harassment, reputational concerns, emerging technologies, and other risks to executives, family members, and protected operations. • Assist with triage and documentation of threatening or harassing communications, suspicious activity, stalking indicators, workplace violence concerns, and other protective intelligence matters. • Review open-source, social media, incident-reporting, travel risk, crime, and intelligence resources as assigned to support protective planning and executive travel risk decisions. • Identify and report individuals, groups, behaviors, or emerging technologies that may pose a threat to executives, residences, aircraft, events, or protected operations.

Investigative and Incident Support: • Conduct and support threat, incident, and protective intelligence internal investigations, including review of threatening or concerning communications, suspicious activity, executive security concerns, policy violations, and security incidents. • Collect, document, preserve, and report investigative information in accordance with company procedures and direction from senior protective or investigative personnel. • Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, protective intelligence summaries, and daily operational reports suitable for supervisory review.

Residential, Office, and Technical Security Support: • Support residential security assessments for primary residences, secondary residences, vacation homes, temporary lodging, and other protected locations. • Assist in identifying protective equipment requirements for offices, residences, vehicles, aircraft support locations, and other protected sites. • Support user instruction, testing, and basic troubleshooting for alarms, cameras, access-control systems, duress/panic devices, visitor procedures, and other protective equipment as directed.

Aviation and Transportation Support: • Support the protection of aircraft and related movement activity at home flight facilities, fixed-base operators, hangars, airports, and domestic or international transit locations as assigned. • Assist with secure boarding and disembarkation, baggage/security coordination, aircraft-adjacent access control, executive arrivals/departures, and coordination with aviation partners. • Support secure transportation operations, including vehicle readiness, route familiarity, communications, protective driving support, and emergency rerouting under senior direction.

Emergency Response and Crisis Support: • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, AED, or other emergency assistance within certification limits. • Support crisis response, incident command, evacuation, shelter-in-place, business continuity, and emergency notification procedures during security or emergency events. • Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment, as required, and maintain physical readiness for protective operations.
