About this role
At Franklin Templeton, we believe success is built through powerful partnerships. As a forward thinking asset manager, we build dynamic relationships with clients, understand their goals, and navigate complex markets together. We leverage cutting edge strategies and deep insights to unlock opportunities for long term wealth creation. Our talented, global teams bring expertise that is both broad and unique.
From our welcoming, inclusive, and supportive culture to our globally diverse business, we offer opportunities not only to help you reach your potential, but also to contribute to our clients’ success.
The Global Client Group (GCG) is seeking a highly organized, proactive associate to support the Chief of Staff in driving execution across Co-President operations, senior leadership client engagement preparation, and key GCG priorities. A central part of the role will be helping prepare materials, briefings, agendas, and follow-up documentation for executive client meetings, ensuring leaders are informed, aligned, and ready for high-impact engagements. This role offers high visibility across the organization and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, build a broad understanding of Franklin Templeton’s global business, and develop core skills in executive operations, business communication, client engagement preparation, and cross-functional execution.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate brings a strong execution mindset, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in how senior leadership teams operate. They are energized by helping leaders and teams stay organized, prepared, and aligned, and they take pride in making complex work feel more manageable behind the scenes. This person is dependable, discreet, collaborative, and willing to roll up their sleeves, whether that means helping coordinate a senior client engagement, improving a process, preparing materials, or handling the administrative details that enable the broader team to operate effectively.
This position is based in New York City and requires regular in-office presence (4 days/week).
Key Responsibilities • Support the Chief of Staff in driving coordination, execution, and follow-through across key Co-President priorities, primarily client activities, including tracking deliverables, organizing workstreams, and helping maintain momentum.
• Prepare background materials, briefing notes, agendas, meeting summaries, and follow-up documentation for executive client meetings and internal leadership engagements.
• Strengthen executive readiness by synthesizing relevant inputs, coordinating materials, tracking next steps, and ensuring leaders have the information needed for high-impact meetings.
• Help manage the operating rhythm of the Co-President’s office by tracking deliverables, organizing workstreams, and maintaining momentum on priority initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders across corporate communications, social media, marketing, global events, distribution, and regional teams to support client engagement, industry events, and leadership activities.
• Develop and improve processes, templates, trackers, and workflows that create structure, increase efficiency, and support consistent execution for the Co-President.
• Own the coordination details that enable effective executive engagement, including scheduling inputs for Chief of Staff, agenda development, materials organization, readiness checks, and follow-up tracking.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and operational needs across the broader GCG COO office as priorities evolve.
Qualifications • 5 years of work experience in financial services, consulting, business operations, executive office support, or a similar professional environment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong interest in executive operations, senior leadership support, business coordination, and client engagement preparation.
• Comfortable supporting senior leadership readiness through meeting preparation, briefing materials, agenda coordination, logistics, and follow-up execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly, concisely, and in a leadership-ready format.
• Process-oriented mindset with an interest in building structure, improving workflows, and creating repeatable ways of working.
• Resourceful and proactive, with the judgment to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and move work forward with limited direction.
• Willingness to handle both strategic coordination and hands-on administrative responsibilities with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
