PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform and complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Familiarity with both manual and CNC machine tool installations.

• Evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose equipment problems and recommend repairs.

• Must work closely with Materials, Machine operators and Plant Managers.

• Establish a relationship with vendors and work with them in repairing the equipment.

• Able to read and understand parts and service manuals to recommend repairs of equipment.

• Will be required to work both independently and within a team environment.

• Complete all related paperwork and computerized maintenance management systems including maintaining equipment logs.

• Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.

• Parts ordering and inventory management.

• Will be tasked to work with Facility maintenance techs as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• At least 2 years of equipment repair experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with metal and copper fabrication equipment is a plus.
