What You'll Be Doing: • Apply your academic background to support environmental and sustainability initiatives across the Southwest Region’s Aggregate, Ready-mix, and Stabilized Sand operations. • Assist with environmental monitoring, sustainability reporting and planning, and reclamation projects. • Support environmental engineers and land managers in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Participate in site inspections, audits, and data collection related to air, water, and land resources. • Contribute to sustainability efforts, including habitat restoration and community engagement. • Learn about permitting processes, environmental reporting, and land stewardship practices. • Promote and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What Are We Looking For: • Current juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Natural Resources, or a related field. • Passion for environmental protection, sustainability, and responsible land use. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Work Environment: • Combination of office and field work. • Exposure to various weather conditions and industrial environments. • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. • Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed.
