About this role
Agility’s commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.
About the Team
Our Engineering Support Group is looking for a talented technician to join the team in supporting our Systems Engineering, Integration, and Testing (SEIT) initiatives. As a member of the Engineering Support Group, you are responsible for being highly adaptable and cross-functional to support engineering activities across test operations, system integration, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and hardware reliability.
About The Role
Engineering Support Technicians in this role will be part of the HW Engineering Department reporting to the Engineering Support Manager. You will provide hands-on technical support that enables SEIT engineering teams to execute integration, validation, reliability, and infrastructure activities efficiently. You will be tasked with the build, maintenance, modification, setup, and operational support across test assets, prototype robots, high-voltage battery systems, custom fixtures, and lab infrastructure.
About The Work
• Test Operations & Fleet Support: Maintain, rework, upgrade, and repair the engineering robot fleet. Prepare robots and energy systems for system-level testing (charging, staging, high-voltage safety checks, configuring, and validating readiness). Track and organize test assets.
• Test Execution & Data Collection: Assist engineers during system-level test execution, including setup/teardown, sensor installation, high-voltage instrumentation, and fixture reconfiguration. Log issues, document failures, and assist with triage during execution.
• System Integration & Prototype Bring-Up: Support prototype robot bring-up, subassembly maintenance, hardware reworks, and rapid iterations across mechanical, low-voltage, and high-voltage electrical domains.
• Fabrication & Harness Assembly: Fabricate and assemble test fixtures, build custom low-voltage and high-voltage wiring harnesses/cables, terminate connectors, and perform light part modifications to support rapid prototyping.
• HiL Infrastructure & Asset Maintenance: Assemble racks, mount hardware, wire power supplies/PCs, and manage cables for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) setups. Flashing firmware, performing wiring modifications, replacing failed components, and sustaining HiL lab organization.
• Hardware Test & Reliability Systems: Support the design, build, and maintenance of custom reliability test rigs, including battery test stations, impact/pendulum testers, wire fatigue testers, limb/torso test stations, and baby dynos.
• Monitoring & Operational Support: Assist with the execution of long-duration hardware reliability and battery cycle testing, monitoring test assets, capturing data, adhering to battery safety protocols, and maintaining fixture health.
• Lab Operations & Safety: Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and clean lab space—enforcing battery management and high-voltage lab safety procedures—while prioritizing and self-managing daily tasks.
About You
• Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly, prototyping, soldering, debugging, and basic troubleshooting of complex physical systems.
• Direct hands-on experience working with battery packs, energy storage systems, or high-voltage (HV) electrical architectures, including familiarity with high-voltage safety protocols, safe handling practices, and specialized test equipment.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and engineering lab equipment (Power Supplies, High-Voltage DMMs, Oscilloscopes, battery cyclers/chargers).
• Ability to rework PCBAs, wire assemblies, build custom low-voltage/high-voltage harnesses, and perform connector terminations.
• Ability to read and understand electro-mechanical schematics, harness drawings, and follow verbal instructions when working with limited documentation.
• Hands-on fabrication experience, including light machining, fixture build, or general shop/construction practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot physical test setups, sensors, high-voltage power distribution, and instrumentation integration.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of documenting failures, logging issues, and maintaining asset organization.
• Ability to change gears between tasks rapidly without losing focus in a dynamic engineering environment.
• High-voltage safety certification or formal training is a plus.
• LINUX CLI skills and experience are highly desirable.
• Experience with Atlassian Software Suite (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.
• Experience debugging or maintaining dynamic robotic systems or HiL environments is a plus.
Education and Experience
• Associate’s Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent work experience (3+ years) in an engineering development or testing environment.
