This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
We are seeking world class manufacturing engineers to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products . You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. Key Responsibilities:
• Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
• Identifying tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Non-conformance report (NCR) generation, management, & closure.
• Supporting introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.
• Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.

The Manufacturing Engineer at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency and reliability of aerospace components through cutting-edge assembly methods. As part of a large, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture and assemble hardware on our premier launch vehicle, New Glenn. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way our vehicles are made and integrated. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience with aircraft , spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar : (0-3 years Level I Engineer , 3+ Level II Engineer , 5+ Level III Engineer , 8+ Sr Level Engineer ) .
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc ).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands on experience with building flight hardware
• Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites.
• Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5)
• Customer focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams of different skills across large geographic distances.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
