JOB SUMMARY Job Description Summary

The Engineer II – Integrity Management Compliance is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Integrity Management programs to ensure adherence with applicable federal and state regulations. This role will serve as a technical resource for IM compliance related initiatives, audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting activities while partnering with stakeholders and operational groups to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks. 

The ideal candidate is motivated and detail-oriented with a working knowledge of requirements under 49 CFR Parts 192 and/or 195. They possess technical expertise and critical thinking skills necessary to interpret requirements, evaluate impacts, and develop practical solutions.   

Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Monitor, interpret, and evaluate federal and state regulatory requirements including 49 CFR 192 and 49 CFR 195 • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Integrity Management programs, procedures, and processes • Evaluate existing practices and programs to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities • Provide technical expertise and guidance to personnel across the organization regarding compliance obligations, regulatory changes, and engineering requirements • Support regulatory agency inspections by coordinating documentation, responding to requests, and facilitating interactions • Analyze inspection outcomes and lessons learned to identify opportunities for process improvements and program enhancements • Conduct reviews and analyses to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and internal programs • Aid in support of questions related to MAOP / MOP, Pressure / Remaining Life Calculations, Metallurgical reports, Pressure Cycling / Cyclic Fatigue Analysis, and technical procedures • Lead or support special projects, engineering analyses, and initiatives aimed at enhancing compliance, efficiency, and program effectiveness

Education • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field and the following job related experience preferred

Work Experience • Experience and training related to: • Transmission/gathering pipeline operations • Facility operations • Integrity Management • Pipeline stress/strain analyses

• Experience in engineering design and knowledge of criteria for natural gas and/or NGLs in pipeline systems • Experience at this level is typically attained with four or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project management • Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc. • Experience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action/response

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of: 49 CFR Part 195 for Liquids and 49 CFR Part 192 for Natural Gas • Knowledge of: material failure and structural analysis preferred • Knowledge of: pipelines or hydrocarbon processing, design, construction, operation, and maintenance preferred • Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations, manuals, specifications, and other relevant reports • Ability to: analyze and resolve issues and/or questions • Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines • Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods • Ability to: interact, negotiate and communicate effectively • Ability to: operate office tools and equipment required • Ability to: communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages, and other written information, which may contain technical material, in a logical, organized, and coherent manner
