This position will be for 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; Monday-Friday)
The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an Electronics Test Technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align, and test high precision Electro-Optical and Mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and support engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools.
Project Focus: Testing components for Space Flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals
WORK ENVIRONMENT: • A Cleanroom environment requiring safety precautions
• ESD and FOD controlled areas
• Independent work with technical documentation
• Collaboration with test engineers
Responsibilities: • Test PCBA, fiber/laser optic assemblies, and electrical hardware
• Perform electrical, fiber optic, and laser testing and characterization
• Follow test procedures and maintain detailed documentation
• Document test failures in reporting systems
• Support cleanroom test equipment maintenance
• Assist engineers in improving test procedures
Qualifications:
Required: • 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination with education)
• Testing custom electromechanical, electronic, fiber optic, and laser assemblies
• Working with PCBA testing
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Knowledge of fiber optics and laser operation/safety
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions
Proficiency with test equipment: • Multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies
• Function generators, optical power meters
• Fiber optic test equipment, laser sources
• Optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), BERT scope
Desired: • Associate degree in technical field
• Micro-electronics assembly experience
• IPC-610 certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• IPC-620 certification (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)
• J-STD-001 with Space Addendum (Soldered Electrical/Electronic Assemblies)
• Electronics test certifications
• Laser Safety Training

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $39,400 - $75,900
