Job Description Summary                 Responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance and electrical, troubleshooting and solving equipment issues and assisting in continuous improvement efforts. Job Description Job Responsibilities:

• Install and modify new and existing mechanical electrical equipment according to installation instructions. • Perform equipment start-ups, repairs, and overhauls. • Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.

• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems. • Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions. • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems. • Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in electrical equipment. • Performs preventative maintenance and modifications to the mechanical electrical systems as needed. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans and technical documents. • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose problems and decide course of action to remedy problem Physical Environment/Demands:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • The employee is occasionally required to sit, taste or smell, climb or balance. • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. •

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, around electrical equipment, and open circuits. • May work on wet, icy, or greasy floors. • Is frequently exposed to extreme cold surroundings. • Is exposed to humid conditions as well as hot and cold environments. • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. • Will regularly work in an environment in which the noise level is usually high.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications Position Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical theory and its application. • Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to working with and on live circuits. • Knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance practices and procedures. • Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical problems and devise and carry out effective plans for repair. • Ability to communicate technical information. • Skill in the practical application of electrical testing devices. • Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits. • Skills in teamwork and communication including leadership, problem solving, interpreting adaptability/flexibility and time management. • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision. • Two years of journeyman level electrical experience preferred.  • Four years of food processing maintenance experience preferred.

The following equipment and/or tools are used in performing the duties of this position and must be used in accordance with established safe practices and procedures. • Hand tools • Power activated tools. • Diagnostic tools • Electrical meter • Computer and associated plant software • Standard preventive maintenance tools • Strobe, IR, Vibration, Ultrasonic, and deflection
