IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Graduate in Cincinnati, OH. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one. You will support project planning, documentation, quality control, and coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams while contributing to work that aligns with project budgets and expectations. This opportunity supports industrial and manufacturing projects with a focus area in HVAC, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What You'll Do As an Electrical Engineering Graduate, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to support the planning, design, and construction of electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities. Typical responsibilities may include: • Assisting with the design and layout of power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and equipment connections.

• Performing electrical load calculations and supporting short-circuit, voltage drop, and coordination studies.

• Developing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using Revit and other design tools.

• Supporting field investigations, site surveys, and construction administration activities.

• Coordinating electrical designs with mechanical, structural, architectural, and process engineering disciplines.

• Participating in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination discussions.

• Gaining exposure to manufacturing processes, facility infrastructure, and mission-critical building systems.

• Learning industry codes, standards, and best practices, including NEC requirements and applicable client-specific design criteria.

What You'll Bring Required Education · Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required

Required Skills/Abilities · Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications · Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings · Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; and familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; · Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment · Attention to detail and problem-solving skills · Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges · Basic knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software · Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook · Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

Preferred · Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred · Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred

About the Team This team primarily supports industrial, aerospace, and manufacturing clients, delivering a wide range of facility improvement, expansion, and modernization projects. The group's work is heavily focused on mechanical and electrical building systems, with regular collaboration with industrial architects and other multidisciplinary design professionals. The project portfolio includes manufacturing facilities, production spaces, secure environments, warehouses, distribution centers, laboratories, and corporate workplace renovations. This provides exposure to both new construction and renovation projects, with a particular strength in industrial facility upgrades, utility infrastructure, and production-support environments.
