About this role
Compensation: CS123 Minimum starting salary: $86,210.00 Final offer will be based on relevant experience, education, and other applicable factors. Compensation Type: Salary Employment Type: Fixed Term (Fixed Term) FLSA: Exempt Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Summary The Director Santa Fe Creative Coding Initiative (SFCCI) administers the college’s community partnership, providing learning opportunities in digital creativity and coding to learners and educators with support from program stakeholders. Strategizes and implements outreach efforts to enhance student opportunities and program impact. Oversees the development and delivery of engaging digital curricula for both students and educators. Supervises instructors and direct reports. This is a Fixed-Term position therefore continous employment is contingent upon further position funding, need, and/or project completion time.

Duties & Responsibilities • Attends all SFCCI meetings or ensures appropriate representation to maintain program alignment and contribute to collaborative decision-making.
• Coordinates the activities of SFCCI instructors, ensuring their readiness, managing their availability for program needs, facilitating coaching and support initiatives, organizing Q&A sessions, and establishing feedback mechanisms for program improvement.
• Cultivates community connections to foster student success and designs and delivers Digital Equity/Digital Literacy programs tailored for learners of all ages. Assembles and manages relationships with a diverse group of participants, including representatives from Santa Fe Community College (SFCC), Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS), and other relevant entities.
• Leads New Mexico trainers in SFCCI content delivery by providing comprehensive instructor training and ongoing support.
• Participates in National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) App Development with Swift Associate training to enhance expertise. Selects local instructors and coordinates with other relvent programs to facilitate localized training initiatives.
• Manages project finances, including creating and maintaining the budget, and overseeing the distribution of funds and equipment according to the terms of the program stakeholder contract.
• Develops funding streams from sources other than main SFCCI funding and SFCC for program delivery to provide matching funds and to develop self-sufficiency for future program delivery after the grant ends.
• Motivates, guides, and supervises instructors and direct reports while guiding them on the department’s shared vision. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to ensure department goals are met; interviews candidates for vacant positions; trains new faculty and staff in the department; provides constructive and timely performance evaluations; handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with College policy.
• Serves as the technical liaison with SFCC and stakeholder IT staff to facilitate the implementation and ongoing maintenance of SFCCI technology installations in classrooms and labs.
• Supports Develop in Swift (Associate certification) offerings through hiring instructors with Swift Associates credential or direct instruction upon request. Instructs directly in SFCI training as needed to establish and expand the program's reach. Secures and completes approved training in all program offerings and methodologies.
• Strategizes and leverages community teaching networks as necessary to enhance program delivery and impact, inspiring students to develop new skills and expertise while also creating new program curriculum for Continuing Education and Contract Training.
• Develops and coordinates program scope, content, implementation plans, and curriculum (both credit and non-credit) in alignment with project management and budget guidelines, working collaboratively with staff, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders. Creates reports and success stories in compliance with the requirements of the SFCCI program grant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of strategic program leadership, workforce development, and digital equity initiatives within educational and community-based environments.
• Knowledge of grant administration, compliance requirements, and outcome measurement for externally funded programs.
• Knowledge of budget development, financial management, and resource allocation for complex programs and initiatives.
• Knowledge of community partnership development and stakeholder engagement strategies involving educational institutions, employers, government agencies, and industry partners.
• Skill in leading and directing multidisciplinary teams, including faculty, staff, contractors, and external partners to achieve organizational goals.
• Skill in strategic planning, program development, and implementation to expand program reach, sustainability, and impact.
• Skill in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, employers, funding agencies, and technology partners.
• Skill in communicating organizational vision, program outcomes, and strategic priorities through effective presentations, reporting, and stakeholder engagem
