About this role
Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.
Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.
Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, the UK, and France.
As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.
We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.
The Finance & Strategy team contributes to Collectors' mission by enabling decision making with key financial insights. The team partners with our senior business leaders to support strong operational management of the business and to facilitate strategic decision making focused on key growth investments, operational improvements, new business opportunities, and strategic transactions.
We are looking for a Director, International Finance & Strategy to support our rapidly expanding businesses in the collectibles grading and marketplace space. Reporting directly to our VP of Finance & Strategy, this role will partner closely with business unit leaders to drive growth in our international markets — providing financial leadership on business development efforts, new market entry plans, and day-to-day operational performance. This individual will also be responsible for coaching and developing 2–3 direct reports.
You'll report to the VP of Finance & Strategy and work from our Santa Ana, CA headquarters, our Jersey City, NJ office or San Fransisco, CA. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.
What You'll Do: International Financial Leadership • Provide financial leadership on geographic expansion and business development plans, including new market entry analysis and investment case development
• Partner with grading and marketplace business leaders to deepen their teams' understanding of financial levers and drive performance improvement
• Communicate key financial and operational metrics to create transparency into international performance and inform strategic and operational decisions
FP&A & Business Partnership • Collaborate across the broader Finance team and cross-functional partners to support strategic decisions with rigorous financial and economic analysis
• Own financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for international business units — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance to leadership needs
• Build and maintain financial models that support investment decisions, scenario planning, and long-term strategy for international markets
Team Leadership & Execution • Manage and develop 2–3 direct reports, setting clear priorities, providing coaching, and ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of team outputs
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting capabilities to scale with the business
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior business leaders, bringing financial insight and strategic perspective to key decisions
Who You Are: • At least 15 years of FP&A experience in a high-volume transaction or high-growth environment
• At least 5 years of FP&A leadership and business partnership experience — guiding critical decisions across day-to-day operations, investment opportunities, and long-term strategy
• Strong financial modeling and business case building skills; comfortable with complex scenario analysis and valuation frameworks
• A proactive leader who demonstrates a high level of ownership, accountability, and operating discipline
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial issues at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective presentations and materials for executive and board-level audiences
• Experienced people manager with a track record of developing talent and managing team priorities under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to partner and influence across an organization and with key external stakeholders
• Outstanding Excel and data management skills; strong understanding of financial systems and tools (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Nice to Have: • Experience with consumer goods and/or digital businesses with consumer and operational components (e.g., CPG, ecommerce)
• International FP&A experience across multiple geographies and currencies
• Passionate about collectibles and/or sports
